CPD Credits: 1    Duration: 30 mins    Access period: 30 days

These three short courses provide bite-sized learning around the theme of leadership:

Leadership and you: This short course will allow learners to reflect on their own leadership style and to consider what type of leadership style suits different clinical contexts.

  • Consider and reflect on a range of traditional leadership styles that they may encounter during their training
  • Evaluate how different leadership styles may apply to different clinical settings

Change management: This short course will challenge learners to consider how they feel about change. It will also introduce a widely used change model and ask learners to consider the application of a change model to a clinical context.

  • Reflect on their attitude towards change
  • Consider and evaluate the use of Kotter’s model of change management in a clinical context

Understanding team roles: This course provides a short introduction to team roles in the workplace. Whilst suitable for healthcare practitioners at all levels, it is aimed particularly at those who are new to leading teams and who wish to understand how to maximise their ability to work in a team and how to get the most out of the people they work with.

By the end of this short course, the learner will recognise the range of essential roles within any team and will be able to reflect on their preferred team roles and how they might develop these.
